Visit Mozambique
Mozambique is a country in Southern Africa, located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, with around 20 million inhabitants. It was a Portuguese colony, which became independent on June 25, 1975
Mozambique has some of the largest reserves of natural resources with energy potential in the world, especially coal, natural gas and, more recently discovered, oil, although in smaller quantities. Natural energy resources are, or can be, instruments of power or political weapons.
Tete Province
Total - 100,742 Km2, dry land - 98,230 Km2 and inland waters - 2494Km2. It is the 3rd largest in the country after the provinces of Niassa and Zambézia.
Capital of the province - City of Tete.
It has 13 Districts - including the city of Tete, which are: In the northern region of the Zambezi River: Angónia, Moatize, Mutarara, Tsangano, Zumbu, Chifunde, Chiúta, Macanga, Marávia, and in the southern region of the Zambezi River: Cahora-Bassa, Changara, Mágoè and City of Tete.
Calómue, is the official name of a town in the administrative post of Ulongué, district of Angónia, in the province of Tete, Mozambique, also known as Calomue or Kalomwe. It is also a road border post with Malawi, connecting to the Malawian post of Dedza, making it the most direct access route from Mozambique to the Malawian capital Lilongué, which is 85 km away. The N304 road ends at this border post, which connects with the N7 near Zobué, which in turn connects to the city of Tete.
