BEM VINDO/Welcome to the official website of the Malawi Consulate General in Tete Province. The Malawi Consulate is currently the only Consulate based in Tete Province and as such, it carries the responsibility of torch bearer for what diplomatic services should be like for the general populace. The Consulate opened its doors in the year 2016 and has been operational for eight years. It complements the work of the Malawi High Commission in Maputo which entails assisting the Embassy in Maputo in building strong bilateral relations with the Republic of Mozambique in accorda!nce to the Malawi Foreign Policy and also the MW2063 document.
The jurisdiction of the Consulate General covers Tete and Zambezia Provinces while Maputo, Maputo City, Gaza, Inhambane, Sofala, Manica, Nampula, Niassa and Cabo Delgado are covered by the Malawi High Commission in Maputo.
