Mr. Happy Jonathan Madika Saka is a highly motivated individual with over fifteen years combined work experience at senior positions both in Government and Private Sector.  He is highly skilled in people and resource management, strategic planning and implementation. He brings to the job extensive experience amassed from his exposure to various social political situations that enables him to contribute to the building of meaningful diplomatic relationships for the mutual benefit of the Malawi and Mozambique. His jurisdiction covers the provinces of Tete and Zambezia.

Mr. Saka invests time to listen, understand and learn, to find solutions that fit the challenges of the people he is of service to and also to consistently build knowledge and prepare himself for challenges.

In his work, Mr. Saka has led teams on national projects, including establishing a Television station, building a network of business communities in products reselling, and serving in various supporting capacities for both executive and legislative levels of government.

He is a highly motivated team player, results oriented, hardworking, proactive innovative and believes in servant leadership.

In the Private Sector he has worked as Head of Communication and strategy for the United States Cannabis Association; Group General Manager for Great Dominion TV & PLFM Radio; Branch Manager Central and North Horizon Health and Station Manager Rainbow Television.

In the public sector, Consul Saka has served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture from 2012 to 2014, Special Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Energy from 2011 to 2012 and Special Assistant to the Minister of Defence from 2010 to 2011.

From 2007 to 2009, he served as Editor for Online News Publication for Ministry of Information. He also held the position of Assistant Editor in the Malawi National Assembly from 2005 to 2006. He was a print and radio reporter for the Chronicle Newspaper, 2004-2005 and Power 101 FM, from 2003 to 2004.

He is a holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Strategic Management, obtained from Colombia University from 2013 to 2016.  He also holds a Diploma in Journalism from Metropolitan City College, United Kingdom (UK), 1999 to 2002.

The Consulate in Tete is his first posting into the Malawi Government Diplomatic Service.
